Diagram Studio

A Visio-style canvas with shapes, connectors and export.

Try it: Build a simple approval diagram

  1. Place a start shape, a decision and two outcome shapes.
  2. Connect the decision to each outcome and label the branches Yes and No.
  3. Export SVG for a document and save JSON if you want to edit the diagram later.

SVG and PNG are presentation exports. Use Diagram Studio JSON for an editable backup.

About Diagram Studio

Diagramming tools are almost all cloud services now, which means every architecture diagram and every network map is stored on somebody else’s infrastructure.

An editor on an infinite grid with routed connectors, running entirely in the browser.

How Diagram Studio works in your browser

Shapes, connectors and text are held as a document model and rendered as vectors, so the canvas stays sharp at any zoom and exports at any size without pixelation.

Connectors are routed rather than drawn as straight lines: they attach to shapes and re-route when a shape moves, which is what keeps a diagram legible after the tenth rearrangement instead of degrading into crossed lines.

Nothing is saved to a server, which has a consequence worth planning around — the only copy is the auto-saved one in this browser until you export it, and clearing browser data removes it. That is the trade for a diagram of your internal network that never leaves your machine.

When to use it

  • Documenting an internal system architecture that should not be stored externally.
  • Sketching a design during a discussion and exporting it into the notes.
  • Producing a diagram for a document without a subscription to a diagramming service.
  • Drawing infrastructure under a confidentiality obligation that a cloud tool would breach.

Frequently asked questions

Will I lose my work if I close the tab?

No. The canvas auto-saves to your browser's local storage as you draw, so reopening restores what you had. Export to JSON for a copy you can keep or move.

Which export format should I use?

SVG for documentation and print, since it stays sharp at any size. PNG for slides and chat. JSON when you want to reopen and keep editing later.

Can I undo a mistake?

Yes, anything on the canvas can be undone — adding, moving, resizing, connecting and deleting are all part of one undoable history.
