How Invoice Generator works in your browser
The form is rendered into a PDF in the browser and saved straight to your device. Nothing is submitted: the client’s name, your bank details and the line items never leave this browser. The form is kept as a draft in this browser’s local storage so you can come back to it, and Reset or the Privacy page clears it.
One thing is worth planning around. Only the last draft is kept, and nothing counts invoices for you, so the next invoice number is yours to track. Numbers must be unique and should be sequential — a dated scheme such as 2026-014 stays readable years later and makes gaps obvious — and the sequence needs to live wherever you keep the invoices themselves.
The output is a normal PDF with selectable text, which is what accounts payable systems expect to receive and what they can run their own text extraction against.
When to use it
Invoicing as a freelancer or a small business without paying for accounting software. Issuing a one-off invoice outside whatever system you normally use. Producing an invoice on a shared or borrowed machine, where an account would leave a trail. Billing a client whose name and rates you would rather not register with a third party.
