Extract Images from PowerPoint

Recover every picture embedded in a deck.

About Extract Images from PowerPoint

Lists all media stored inside a .pptx — photos, logos, charts exported as images and background pictures — at original quality, with each file’s name and size. Download any of them or all as a ZIP.

Decks accumulate visual assets nobody keeps anywhere else — a chart someone pasted in, a diagram built once, a background nobody has the source for.

List every media item in the presentation and take the originals.

How Extract Images from PowerPoint works in your browser

Presentations store their media pooled at package level rather than per slide, so one image reused on twenty slides is stored once. Reading that pool with JSZip therefore gives you the deck’s complete asset inventory in one list, with no duplicates to sift through.

The trade-off of pooling is that the list is not organised by where things appear. An asset shows up whether it sits on slide three, on a master, on a layout, or on a slide that was deleted without clearing the package.

That last category is the one worth checking. Removing a slide does not necessarily remove what it contained, so a deck can carry an image from a version you thought was gone — visible to anyone willing to open the archive.

When to use it

  • Rescuing a chart or diagram from a deck when the file it was made in is long gone.
  • Collecting brand assets from a template nobody has the source files for.
  • Auditing a deck before it goes outside, including assets from deleted slides.
  • Pulling every image out of a long presentation at once instead of slide by slide.

Frequently asked questions

Does it find every image in the deck?

It lists all media stored in the file — photos, logos, charts that were exported as pictures and background images. The list is not grouped by slide, because the file stores its media in one shared pool.

Is quality preserved?

Yes. The stored bytes are extracted as they are, so you get the original file rather than a re-compressed version.

Why does it show images I do not recognise?

Decks often retain media from deleted slides or from the slide master, which is why the list can be longer than what you see when presenting.
