PowerPoint to PDF

Export a deck as a PDF, one slide per page.

About PowerPoint to PDF

Convert .pptx presentations to PDF with slides rendered at their authored size and aspect ratio. Optionally append speaker notes, or export a handout layout with several slides per page.

A deck sent as .pptx opens differently on every machine, and it invites editing. A PDF is what you send when the slides are finished.

Each slide becomes a page, in order, at slide proportions.

  • Processed on your deviceEverything you open or type here is handled by this page and never uploaded anywhere.
  • No queue, no limitsNothing waits on a server, so the only limit is your own hardware.
  • No account neededNo sign-up and no email address required.

How PowerPoint to PDF works in your browser

There is no browser API that renders a PowerPoint file, so the .pptx — which is a ZIP of OOXML parts — is parsed here directly. The shape tree of each slide is read: positions, sizes, text runs, tables and pictures, converted from OOXML’s internal units into points.

That model is drawn as a page in the output PDF at the deck’s own aspect ratio, so a 16:9 presentation produces 16:9 pages rather than slides letterboxed onto A4.

The limits are specific and are reported rather than hidden. Charts, SmartArt, 3-D effects, transitions and animations are not reproduced — they are features of PowerPoint’s renderer rather than content in the file, and a converter claiming to reproduce them is generally rasterising a screenshot. Ordinary slides of text, images, shapes and tables convert faithfully.

When to use it

  • Circulating a finished deck for review without inviting edits.
  • Sending slides to somebody who has no copy of PowerPoint.
  • Attaching a presentation to an application or a tender that requires PDF.
  • Producing printable handouts from a deck.

Frequently asked questions

Are the slides the right size in the PDF?

Yes. Slides are rendered at their authored size and aspect ratio, so a 16:9 deck stays 16:9 rather than being squeezed onto A4.

Can I include the speaker notes?

Yes. Notes can be appended, which is what you want when sending a deck to someone who was not in the room to hear it presented.

Can I print several slides per page?

Yes. A handout layout puts multiple slides on each page, which saves paper and is easier to annotate by hand.
