Slide Selector
newKeep only the slides you need and re-export the deck.
About Slide Selector
Preview a presentation as a thumbnail grid, tick the slides worth keeping and export a trimmed .pptx — the original layouts, masters and media that those slides depend on come with them.
Cutting a long deck down for a shorter audience normally means duplicating the file and deleting slides one at a time, hoping you did not remove one you needed.
Preview every slide as a thumbnail, tick what to keep, export a new deck.

How Slide Selector works in your browser
Slides are parsed and rendered as thumbnails so you can judge the deck visually, which is the only sensible way to decide what a shorter version should contain.
The export writes a new presentation containing the slides you selected, in their original order, with the original left untouched. The unwanted slides and their notes are deleted from the package; the shared media pool is left as it was, so a picture used only on a deleted slide is no longer shown but is still stored in the file.
Because the source deck is parsed rather than rendered to pictures, the exported slides remain editable slides rather than images of slides.
When to use it
Producing a fifteen-minute version of an hour-long deck. Removing internal or financial slides before presenting to a client. Pulling a handful of slides out of a large template library. Making a short version of a confidential deck without uploading the full one.

Frequently asked questions
Does the trimmed deck still work properly?
Yes. The layouts, masters and media stay in the file, so the kept slides open as a normal presentation. Pictures that were used only on the removed slides also stay inside the file, so run Extract Images on the result before sending it to someone who should not see them.
How do I choose which slides to keep?
Preview the deck as a thumbnail grid and tick the ones worth keeping — quicker and less error-prone than deleting slides one by one in PowerPoint.
Is my original presentation changed?
No. A new .pptx is produced and the file you opened is left alone.
