WebP to PNG
Convert WebP to PNG and keep the transparency.
About WebP to PNG
Turn a WebP into a lossless PNG with its transparent background intact — the right conversion for logos, icons, screenshots and anything that will be edited or placed over a coloured background.
The other direction out of WebP, and the right one when the image is not a photograph. A logo, an icon, a screenshot, a diagram — anything with flat colour, sharp edges or text — belongs in a lossless format.
PNG also keeps the transparent background, which JPEG cannot, so a logo stays placeable over any colour instead of arriving in a white box.

How WebP to PNG works in your browser
The browser decodes the WebP and re-encodes it as PNG with its alpha channel intact. PNG compression is lossless, so every pixel that survived the original WebP encoding survives this step exactly.
Expect the file to get larger, often considerably. WebP was throwing information away to be small; PNG stores what is left in full. That is the trade you are making, and it is the right one when the image will be edited, printed at size, or placed on a coloured background.
Batches are converted one at a time by your own machine, which is why speed depends on your device and why there is no queue. Results can be taken individually or as a zip.
When to use it
Getting a logo out of a website in a form a design tool will accept. Preparing a screenshot for documentation, where JPEG artefacts around text are obvious. Keeping a transparent background that would otherwise be flattened. Producing a lossless master before any further editing.
Frequently asked questions
PNG or JPG — which should I pick?
PNG if the image has transparency, text, sharp edges or will be edited again. JPG if it is a photograph and file size matters. A logo saved as JPG picks up visible fringing around its edges.
Will the file get bigger?
Usually, yes. PNG is lossless, so it stores everything the WebP was compressing away. That is the trade you are making for an editable, transparent image.
Can I convert a batch at once?
Yes. Drop in as many as you like; each is converted by your own browser and can be downloaded individually or as a zip.
