Turn pages 90°, 180° or 270° and save the result.
About Rotate PDF
Fix sideways scans by rotating selected pages or the whole document. The rotation is written into the PDF itself, so it looks correct in every reader and when printed.
Scanned pages arrive sideways constantly, and the rotate button in a PDF reader usually only changes how the page looks on your screen. Close the file and the rotation is gone.
This writes the rotation into the document, so it opens the right way up for everyone who receives it.

How Rotate PDF works in your browser
Every PDF page carries a rotation property — 0, 90, 180 or 270 degrees — which readers apply when displaying it. Rotating here sets that property with pdf-lib and saves the document, which is why the change persists rather than lasting until you close the viewer.
Nothing about the page content is touched. The glyphs, images and vectors stay exactly where they were; only the instruction telling readers which way up to display them changes. That is why rotation is lossless and instantaneous even on a large document, and why it can be undone perfectly.
Pages can be rotated individually, which matters for the common case: a scanned batch where the feeder took some sheets the wrong way round and most of the document is already correct.
When to use it
Fixing a scan where the document was fed in sideways. Correcting pages photographed in landscape when the rest of the document is portrait. Turning a page the right way up before sending it to somebody who will print it. Making a sideways document readable on a phone, where you cannot rotate the view conveniently.

Frequently asked questions
Does the rotation stick when I open the file elsewhere?
Yes. The rotation is written into the PDF itself rather than applied as a view setting, so it looks correct in every reader and when printed.
Can I rotate only some pages?
Yes. Select individual pages — useful for a scan where a few sheets went through the feeder sideways — or rotate the whole document at once.
Does rotating reduce quality?
No. Rotation changes a page attribute rather than re-rendering content, so text stays sharp and selectable and images are untouched.
